1. What We Collect

Account data

When you sign up, we collect your email address and optionally your name via Clerk (our authentication provider). You may sign in with email and password, Google, or Apple. When using Google or Apple sign-in, those providers may share your name and email address with us.

Wardrobe data

All content you add — item names, brands, categories, sizes, materials, purchase prices, dates, wear counts, notes, tags, and photos — is stored on our servers and used solely to provide the app's features.

Purchase data

When you purchase the Pro upgrade, RevenueCat processes the transaction. We receive your purchase status and transaction identifiers to verify entitlements. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple and never reach us.

Usage data

We do not use any analytics, crash reporting, or advertising trackers. We do not collect device identifiers, location data, or browsing behaviour.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to:

• Provide and personalise the app experience
• Manage your account and subscription
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

The following services process data on our behalf:

Clerk (authentication)

Handles sign-up, login, and account management for all authentication methods (email/password, Google, Apple).

Google (sign-in)

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy applies to that interaction.

Convex (backend & storage)

Stores your account profile, wardrobe items, wear logs, and uploaded photos.

RevenueCat (subscriptions)

Manages in-app purchase status and entitlements.

Apple (payments & sign-in)

Processes all payments. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple's privacy policy applies to that interaction.

4. Data Retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings, which permanently removes all your data from our servers.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To make a request, contact us at hello@vaer.app.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Children

Vær is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
